How we write our guides

Each guide answers one question with facts we read on their sources, and each sourced sentence carries a number that links to the page it comes from. This page explains where the facts come from, what the dates mean and how to tell us about a mistake.

Who writes the guides

Amelia Cardona Hernandez and Vadim Dunaevskiy, who co-founded Conecto, write the guides, and Conecto publishes them. Each guide names its author under the title. Conecto sells business tools for AI agents, so we have a stake in many of the topics we cover, and every guide says so beside its sources. When a guide compares Conecto with other products, it says Conecto is ours and gives it the same facts as the others, citing our own pages for Conecto's prices, such as the price list at conecto.chat/tools. The guides carry no affiliate links.

Where the facts come from

We use primary sources: a vendor's own pages and documentation, the text of a standard such as the MCP specification, and official statistics such as the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. Each guide lists its sources at the end, and each number in the text links to the source behind that sentence.

Prices come from each vendor's own pricing page, in the currency the page showed us on the date the guide gives. Where a monthly price applies only to a yearly plan, the guide says billed annually. Prices can change after that date, so check the linked page before you buy.

Dates and corrections

Each guide shows two dates: when it last changed, and when we last read its sources. The Markdown copy, the feed and the page's structured data carry the same dates.

If a fact is wrong or out of date, write to hello@conecto.chat with the guide's address. When we correct a guide, its updated date changes.

For AI agents

The guides are written for people, and an agent reads the same text. Each guide has a Markdown copy at its own address with .md added, such as /guides/mcp-vs-api.md, and the guide's address answers with that copy when a request accepts text/markdown. In the Markdown copy, each citation is a link to its source, so a sentence quoted on its own still names where it comes from.

/guides/feed.json is a JSON Feed of every guide, with its dates and its full Markdown. Under _conecto, each item also gives the date its sources were read, the numbered sources, and markdown_sha256, the SHA-256 digest of the guide's Markdown copy, so an agent can check that the copy it fetched is complete. The guides are listed in /llms.txt too.
