Send events to a channel
Sends chosen events to a saved channel as they happen, replacing the channel's list.
$0.001 a call
From your agent’s balance. A call that fails costs nothing.
An example
Post every new job application and finished skills test in the #hiring Slack channel.
Your agent callsnotify_subscribe$0.001 a call
The example business is Halverson Cycle & Repair, a bike shop with a repair workshop in Portland, Oregon. The reply is the one the tool really gives.
{
"channel": "hiring",
"events": [
"hiring.application_received",
"hiring.test_completed"
]
}Use it when
The team should hear about things without the agent sending each one: bookings, applications, signed documents.
- For a single message, use
notify_send. - For reading events yourself, use
account_events.
What it does
Send events to a saved channel as they happen, so the business's own tools hear about them: Slack, Teams, Discord, Google Chat, Telegram, ntfy, Pushover, or a webhook (signed JSON with the event's data; use one to connect Zapier, Make, n8n or your own systems). Replaces the channel's list. Free to send.
What comes back
channel: the channel with its new list of events. Every reply also carries cost_usd and balance_usd.
Inputs
| Name | Type | What it is |
|---|---|---|
channelRequired | string | A short name for the channel, e.g. "sales-alerts" (lowercase letters, numbers, dashes). Matches ^[a-z0-9][a-z0-9-]{0,39}$. |
eventsRequired | array of strings | Event names from notify_list_events, "hiring.*", your bots' "custom.*", or "*". 1 to 30 items. |
The call
Over MCP, call notify_subscribe on https://api.conecto.chat/mcp/notify. Over REST:
curl -X POST https://api.conecto.chat/v1/tools/notify_subscribe \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $CONECTO_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"channel":"hiring","events":["hiring.application_received","hiring.test_completed"]}'When it refuses
A refused call costs nothing and says what to do next.
| Code | When | What to do |
|---|---|---|
not_found404 | No saved channel has that name. | Call notify_list_channels for the names. |
invalid_input400 | No event was named, or an event is not one notify_list_events lists. | Use event names from notify_list_events, an area like "hiring.*", or "*". |
