Use it when

Something shown on every page changes, like the footer address or the chat.

What it does

The site's title, description and language, the footer (text, links, email, phone, address, social links), a button in the header, the blog's title and menu label, show_name (the site's name beside the logo; by default the logo stands alone, since it usually carries the name), and two switches: analytics_site (a site_id from analytics_add_site whose script the pages carry) and chat (the account's chat widget on every page). Only what is passed changes; it applies to the draft.

What comes back

The site with its settings as they now are (in the draft). Every reply also carries cost_usd and balance_usd.
