Use it when

To see what a company has bought or sold, or what has changed hands in an industry.

What it does

Deals from the merger-control authorities of the EU, the UK, Germany, France, Finland and the US, and from SEC filings, refreshed daily: the parties and their roles, the dates, the status and, where a filing states one, the value with the sentence it was read from. Search by a company (its id or name) as acquirer or target, by words of the deal, by country and by date; news reports join only when asked, marked unconfirmed. Each reply says how far back each source goes.

What comes back

deals (id, title, status, confirmed, jurisdiction, parties: name, role, country, activity; activities, sector, sic, dates: announced, notified, decided, completed, published; value: amount, currency, quote, url, or null when no filing states one; source: name, url, license, license_url, credit), matching (how many match in all), searched_names, notes and coverage (each source's deals, from, to, read_at and state). Every reply also carries cost_usd and balance_usd.
