Use it when

Someone asks what is in stock, where, or what is running low.

What it does

Items with what is in stock (in total and per location), the moving-average unit cost and the value. Search by SKU, name or an exact barcode; only those at a location; only those at or below their reorder point.

What comes back

items: each with its SKU, name, unit, stock, moving-average unit cost, value, currency, price, reorder point, low, archived and stock per location; and the total. Every reply also carries cost_usd and balance_usd.

When it refuses

A refused call costs nothing and says what to do next.

Code	When	What to do
`not_found`404	No location has that name.	Call inventory_locations, or add it with inventory_save_location.
`archived`409	The item or location is archived.	Use another one, or name a location that is in use.
