Use it when

The business wants the same steps every time someone joins or leaves.

What it does

An onboarding or offboarding checklist, matched by name; items replace the ones it had. Each item has a title, an owner (person: the one joining or leaving; manager: their manager; hr; it) and due_days: calendar days from the start date (onboarding) or the last day (offboarding), negative for before it. Tasks already started keep their own copy.

What comes back

checklist: its name, kind and items; and created. Every reply also carries cost_usd and balance_usd.
