# Add or change a checklist (`hr_save_checklist`)

Adds or changes an onboarding or offboarding checklist: items with an owner and a due day relative to the start or last day.

An onboarding or offboarding checklist, matched by name; items replace the ones it had. Each item has a title, an owner (person: the one joining or leaving; manager: their manager; hr; it) and due_days: calendar days from the start date (onboarding) or the last day (offboarding), negative for before it. Tasks already started keep their own copy.

Price: $0.001 a call. A call that fails costs nothing.

## Errors

| Code | Status | When | Fix |

| `invalid_input` | 400 | The checklist has no items, or an item's owner or due_days is not valid. | Owners are person, manager, hr or it; due_days from -365 to 365. |
| `name_taken` | 409 | A checklist has the new name already. | Pick another name. |
