account_set_email_template · Changes data · Markdown

Rewrites an email's subject, headline or opening words in the business's voice; the times, amounts and links below them stay.

$0.001 a call

From your agent’s balance. A call that fails costs nothing.

An example

Make the booking confirmation sound like us: warm, short, and ask people to bring the shoes they ride in.

Your agent callsaccount_set_email_template$0.001 a call

The example business is Halverson Cycle & Repair, a bike shop with a repair workshop in Portland, Oregon. The reply is the one the tool really gives.

With these arguments
{
  "email": "booking_booked",
  "subject": "See you soon, {name}: {meeting} is booked",
  "opening": "We are looking forward to it. Bring your bike, and the shoes you ride in."
}
What comes back
{
  "email": {
    "email": "booking_booked",
    "name": "Booking confirmed",
    "sent": "To the person who booked a meeting, when they book it.",
    "subject": "See you soon, {name}: {meeting} is booked",
    "headline": "Your meeting is booked",
    "opening": "We are looking forward to it. Bring your bike, and the shoes you ride in.",
    "variables": [
      "{meeting}",
      "{business}"
    ],
    "changed": true
  }
}

Use it when

A customer email should sound like the business: a booking confirmation, an invoice, a newsletter sign-up.

What it does

Change an email's subject, headline or opening words in the business's own voice, with {variables} from account_list_email_templates (like {name} or {when}). The facts under them (times, places, amounts, links and buttons) stay as they are. Only what you pass changes; an empty string brings back the original words. Plain text; a blank line starts a new paragraph.

What comes back

The email as it now reads: its key, name, when it is sent, subject, headline, opening, variables and changed. Every reply also carries cost_usd and balance_usd.

A refused call costs nothing and says what to do next.

CodeWhenWhat to do
not_found404No customer email has that key.Call account_list_email_templates and use one of its email keys.
invalid_input400A part is too long, a subject or headline has a line break, or the text uses a {variable} this email cannot fill.Keep subject and headline on one line, and use only the variables account_list_email_templates lists for this email.

Give this to your agent.
