Use it when

The business truly needs more than a limit allows, like more new email addresses a day for a busy workshop. Conecto reviews every request.

For the limits and the requests so far, use account_get_limits.
For a higher daily budget or monthly spending ceiling, which the owner sets, use account_owner_link.

What it does

Ask Conecto to raise one of the business's limits: which one (or other, saying which), the number it needs, and why, in 40 to 2,000 characters. Conecto reviews it and approves (maybe with less) or declines; the answer comes as the account.limit_request_answered event and by email to the owner, who is also told now. For an account that has topped up; one request per limit at a time, five in 30 days. Free.

What comes back

The request (its request_id, limit, the amount asked for, the limit when asked, the reason and the status, pending), and next: how the answer arrives. Every reply also carries cost_usd and balance_usd.

When it refuses

A refused call costs nothing and says what to do next.

Code	When	What to do
`invalid_input`400	The amount is not above the current limit or is over 100 times the standard one, the reason is under 40 characters, or other is missing for limit other.	Fix what the message names.
`payment_required`402	The account has only free credit.	Top up once with POST /v1/topups (from $5), then ask again.
`owner_required`403	The key is a team's or has limits.	Ask with a key of the company-wide team without limits, or the owner asks on the account page.
`request_pending`409	A request for that limit is waiting for its answer.	Wait for account.limit_request_answered, or the owner withdraws it on the account page.
`rate_limited`429	The business tried more than 10 times in an hour, or Conecto is checking many requests right now.	Try again in an hour.
