What it does

One PDF from several in the store, in the order given.

What comes back

file: the merged PDF with its file_id, name, size and download link; and pages. Every reply also carries cost_usd and balance_usd.

When it refuses

A refused call costs nothing and says what to do next.

Code	When	What to do
`not_found`404	No file in the store has that file_id.	Find it with files_list, or upload it first.
`invalid_pdf`422	One of the PDFs could not be merged (damaged or password-protected).	Leave that PDF out, or open and save it again.
`too_large`413	The PDFs are too large together.	Merge fewer at a time.
`storage_full`409	The file store has no room for the new file.	Delete files with files_delete, or add room with files_add_storage.
