Use it when

Someone mentioned a person, a company or a deal and you need its id.

  • For a list filtered by fields, tags or a saved segment, use crm_find_contacts.
  • For words inside files, emails, tickets and invoices as well, use account_search.

What it does

Find contacts, companies and deals in one call from whatever you have: a name, an email, a phone number (any format), a domain, a company name or a deal title. Use it to turn what someone told you into record ids.

What comes back

The contacts, companies and deals that match, each with its id and the fields that tell them apart (name, email, phone, company, domain, stage, amount). Every reply also carries cost_usd and balance_usd.
