# Find prospects (`prospects_find`)

Start a prospect search from a ready brief: the businesses that fit and the people to reach there, with their work email checked.

Start a prospect search from a brief prospects_prepare made: businesses that fit and the people to reach there, with their work email checked, from public business pages. About two minutes for 50. The reply is 202 with a call_id, which is the search's id: follow it with prospects_get, or wait for the prospects.found event. The price of every prospect asked for is held; when the search ends, only the prospects found with a working email are charged and the rest of the hold comes back. Two searches at a time, and 1,000 prospects a month. The business's Conecto inboxes never write first to the people found: write to them from the business's own mailbox, with an outreach campaign (outreach_save_campaign with the search_id as prospect_search_id).

Price: $0.05 per prospect found with a working email. A call that fails costs nothing.

`result`: A 202 reply with the call_id, which is the search_id, and the amount held. When the search ends, the call holds its status (completed, stopped or failed), the count asked, how many were found with a working email, the charge, and where to read them (prospects_get).

## Errors

| Code | Status | When | Fix |
|---|---|---|---|
| `invalid_brief` | 400 | The brief_token is not a ready brief for this business, or it is over a day old. | Prepare it again with prospects_prepare. |
| `limit_reached` | 409 | Two searches are running already, or this one would pass the business's prospects a month. | Wait for a search to end or stop one; for the month, ask for less or ask for more with account_request_limit. |
| `payment_required` | 402 | The business never topped up, so its balance is free credit. | Top up once with POST /v1/topups, then call again. |
