# Mergers & acquisitions

See who bought whom: deals from the merger authorities of the EU, the UK, Germany, France, Finland and the US, and from SEC filings, read every day. Each deal comes with its parties and their roles, its dates and status, and a price only where a filing states one, quoted from it. News reports join only when asked, marked unconfirmed.

Replaces: StrategyBridge transaction search, reading merger notices and 8-K filings by hand.

## MCP server

`https://api.conecto.chat/mcp/mergers` connects the Mergers & acquisitions tools only, plus the account tools that come with every MCP server. It speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP; send the key as `Authorization: Bearer <conecto_sk_ key>`. Every tool here is also a REST call: `POST https://api.conecto.chat/v1/tools/<name>` with the arguments as a JSON object.

## ChatGPT and Claude

Add `https://api.conecto.chat/v1/mcp` as a connector in ChatGPT or Claude, one for every area, and tick Mergers & acquisitions when you sign in. It signs in with OAuth: someone on the account signs in on conecto.chat, ticks the areas it may use and allows it, and it runs on a key of its own that the owner can revoke.

## OpenAPI

For a custom GPT's Actions: `https://api.conecto.chat/v1/openapi/mergers.json` (OpenAPI 3.0, the key as a Bearer token). For Power Automate, Logic Apps and Copilot Studio connectors: `https://api.conecto.chat/v1/openapi/mergers.swagger.json` (OpenAPI 2.0, the key in the X-Api-Key header). Both list this area's tools and the account tools.

Prices: A deal $0.01 · an acquirer ranked $0.01 · nothing when none match. A call that fails costs nothing.

## Example jobs

- Who bought Welbilt, the maker of Frymaster and Merrychef, and what did the competition authorities decide?
- Who has been buying catering companies, our customers, since 2021, and how often?
- Before we sell the business, see which companies Middleby and Rational have bought, and what they paid where a filing says.
