# Market data

Size a market from official statistics: an industry's turnover and companies, a product's production and trade, and how its prices and costs move. Eurostat covers the EU, the US Census Bureau and the BLS the US, and HMRC the UK's trade, each figure with its source, license and unit. Confidential figures are left out, never filled in, and what the UK doesn't publish is named.

Replaces: StrategyBridge Eagle Scope, looking up Eurostat and Census tables by hand.

## MCP server

`https://api.conecto.chat/mcp/markets` connects the Market data tools only, plus the account tools that come with every MCP server. It speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP; send the key as `Authorization: Bearer <conecto_sk_ key>`. Every tool here is also a REST call: `POST https://api.conecto.chat/v1/tools/<name>` with the arguments as a JSON object.

## ChatGPT and Claude

Add `https://api.conecto.chat/v1/mcp` as a connector in ChatGPT or Claude, one for every area, and tick Market data when you sign in. It signs in with OAuth: someone on the account signs in on conecto.chat, ticks the areas it may use and allows it, and it runs on a key of its own that the owner can revoke.

Both list this area's tools and the account tools.

Prices: An industry's size $0.02, a product's production and trade $0.02, price series $0.02 · nothing when no figures come back. A call that fails costs nothing.
