# Stock history (`inventory_history`)

Stock moves, newest first, of one item, at one location, of one kind, or in a period.

Moves newest first: of one item, at one location, of one kind, in a period.

Price: Free up to 1,000,000 reads a month for the whole account, then $0.50 per 10,000 reads. A call that fails costs nothing.

Someone asks where stock went, or when it came in.

`result`: moves: newest first, each with its move_id, date, kind, SKU, quantity, from, to, unit cost, value, quantity after, reference and note; and the total.

## Errors

| Code | Status | When | Fix |
|---|---|---|---|
| `not_found` | 404 | No location has that name. | Call inventory_locations, or add it with inventory_save_location. |
| `archived` | 409 | The item or location is archived. | Use another one, or name a location that is in use. |
| `not_found` | 404 | No item has that SKU. | Find it with inventory_list_items. |
| `invalid_input` | 400 | A date is not a date like 2026-10-01. | Fix the date. |
