# Send a skills test (`hiring_send_assessment`)

Emails an applicant their own link to a skills test.

Email an applicant their own link to a test, in the business's name. The link works for `days` until they start; then the time limit runs. $0.25 when they complete it.

Price: $0.02 a call. A call that fails costs nothing.

`result`: sent_to, the test link, and when it expires.

## Errors

| Code | Status | When | Fix |
|---|---|---|---|
| `not_found` | 404 | No applicant of the business has that applicant_id. | Find them with hiring_list_applicants. |
| `payment_required` | 402 | The application came in while the balance could not pay its fee, so it is held. | Top up; the application opens once its fee is paid. |
| `not_found` | 404 | No skills test has that slug. | Call hiring_list_assessments and use one of its slugs. |
| `send_failed` | 502 | The email could not be sent; nothing was charged. | Call again in a moment. |
| `already_sent` | 409 | The applicant already has the test. | The message gives their link. |
