# Upload an image (`help_center_upload_image`)

Stores an image for the design or an article and returns the path to use.

Store an image (logo, header or hero background, article cover, picture for an article) and get the path to use in the design or an article. Give a public https `url`, or the file as base64 `data`. PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP or SVG, up to 5 MB.

Price: $0.01 a call. A call that fails costs nothing.

`result`: url: the stored image's path, to use in the design or an article, with its content_type and size in bytes.

## Errors

| Code | Status | When | Fix |
|---|---|---|---|
| `tool_error` | 422 | Both or neither of url and data were given, the url is not https or could not be fetched, or the file is not a PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP or SVG of up to 5 MB. | Send exactly one of url or data, with an image in one of those formats. |
