# Reopen a form (`forms_open`)

Lets a closed form take responses again.

Let a closed form take responses again. A closing date that has passed is cleared; a form that reached max_responses stays full until you raise it with forms_update.

Price: $0.001 a call. A call that fails costs nothing.

## Use it when

A closed form should run again; a form that reached max_responses needs a higher limit first (forms_update).

`result`: The form with its new status, and a note when it still cannot take responses.

## Errors

| Code | Status | When | Fix |
|---|---|---|---|
| `not_found` | 404 | No form of the business has that form_id or slug. | Call forms_list and use a form_id or slug from it. |
