# Change an inbox (`email_update_inbox`)

Changes an inbox's sender name, switches saving its attachments to the file store on or off, or changes how much it saves a day.

Change an inbox's sender name, switch email-in on or off (save_attachments saves each attachment of mail received from now on to the file store, linked to its email), or raise or lower what email-in saves in 24 hours (save_files_per_day, save_mb_per_day). $0.001.

Price: $0.001 a call. A call that fails costs nothing.

An inbox's sender name changes, or the attachments it receives (bills, documents) should be filed.

`result`: The inbox, its sender name, opens_tickets, save_attachments and the daily caps on what it saves, as they now are.

## Errors

| Code | Status | When | Fix |
|---|---|---|---|
| `not_found` | 404 | No active inbox of the business has that address. | Call email_list_inboxes and use one of its addresses. |
| `invalid_input` | 400 | Nothing to change was given, or a daily cap is outside 1-1,000 files or 1-2,500 MB. | Send at least one field, within its limits. |
