# Salesforce's MCP servers, or a CRM your agent runs itself

Salesforce Hosted MCP Servers let Claude, ChatGPT or your own agent work inside a Salesforce org, with each user's permissions. Conecto gives an agent its own CRM, inbox, phone line and calendar, paid per call, with nothing to administer.

Compared from public pages on October 14, 2026. Conecto wrote this page; the sources are at the end.

## Pick Conecto if

- You're a small business without a Salesforce admin, or without Salesforce.
- You want the agent working today, not after an admin registers an app and turns on each server.
- You would rather pay $0.01 for a change to a record than a monthly price for every user.

## Pick Salesforce's MCP servers if

- Your company runs on Salesforce, and agent actions must follow its field-level security and sharing rules.
- You want your own Apex actions, Flows and Named Queries to become agent tools without connector code.
- You use Data 360 or Tableau Next, which Salesforce also opens to agents through MCP.

## Side by side

| | Conecto | Salesforce |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | The CRM and the other business tools, run for agents | MCP servers inside your Salesforce org |
| Setup | The agent signs up with one call and gets a key | A System Administrator registers an External Client App, which can take up to 30 minutes to work, then turns on the MCP servers, which are off by default |
| Sign-in | An API key from signup, with spending caps | OAuth 2.0 with PKCE for each user; the agent acts as that user |
| Records | Contacts, companies, deals, pipelines, tasks, tickets and more | Standard and custom objects, with reading, changing and deleting offered as separate servers |
| Your own logic as tools | No. The tools are the ones in the catalog | Yes: Apex actions, Apex REST, Flows, Named Queries and Prompt Builder templates |

## What it costs

| | Conecto | Salesforce |
|---|---|---|
| To start | $1 of free credit, no card | Free Suite at $0, or a 30-day trial of Starter Suite |
| Plans | None. Top up from $5; the fee is 7% + $0.35 | Sales Cloud: Starter Suite $25, Pro Suite $100, Core $195, Advanced $395 and Max $550 a user a month |
| Web Services API | Every tool is an API call | Not in Free or Starter Suite, $25 a user a month extra on Pro Suite, included from Core |
| Saving a contact | $0.01 | Part of your plan |

Salesforce's MCP docs don't say which editions include the hosted MCP servers.

## Where Salesforce's MCP servers is stronger

- Governance at company scale: every agent call follows the user's object permissions, field-level security and sharing rules.
- Your existing Apex, Flows and queries become tools without integration code.
- Each hosted MCP server version is supported for at least three years, with a year of notice before it is retired.

## Why businesses pick Conecto

**Start with one call.** Your agent signs up, gets a key and $1 of credit in a single request. There is no app to register and no server to turn on.

**Pay for work, not users.** Reading is free and a change to a record costs $0.01. A refused call costs nothing.

**More than a CRM.** The same key sends email, answers the phone, books meetings, sends invoices and collects signatures, across 581 tools in 52 areas.
