# Get a chat conversation (`chat_get_conversation`)

One conversation with all its messages, from the visitor and from the business.

Price: Free up to 1,000,000 reads a month for the whole account, then $0.50 per 10,000 reads. A call that fails costs nothing.

Before answering an older conversation, to read everything that was said.

`result`: The conversation with its status, channel, visitor, times and charge state, and every message with who wrote it, the text, the time and whether it is a private note.

## Errors

| Code | Status | When | Fix |
|---|---|---|---|
| `not_found` | 404 | No chat conversation of the business has that conversation_id. | Find it with chat_list_conversations and use its conversation_id. |
